Norvind
Naian Gonzalez Norvind is a photographer, writer, and award winning film, TV and theater actress. She led Michel Franco's NEW ORDER, a dystopian drama that earned the Silver Lion at the 77th Venice Film Festival in 2020. She won Best Actress at the 2019 Morelia Film Festival (FICM) for her portrayal of Ariela in LEONA, a feature she co-wrote.
She plays the title role in CORINA, directed by Urzula Barba Hopfner which garnered the Global Audience Award at SXSW 2025.
Her T.V. credits include Crónica de Castas, dir. by Daniel Gimenez Cacho, Amsterdam (HBO) dir. by Gustavo Taretto, Gotham, and Invasion (Apple TV+).
Since 2015, she has developed a unique portfolio of photographs, mostly street photography. Loyal to 35mm film and to her NikonFM2, which has traveled around the world with her since her beloved and renowned mentor, Adolfo Doring, gave it to her as a gift, she has found a way to capture the theatricality of every day life in her almost documentary-like photography.
In 2023 she had her first solo exhibit, “First Impressions,” at En Blanco Gallery in San José del Cabo, Mexico.
In 2025, Mundo Callado, a photography gallery in Mexico City, welcomed her for her second and latest exhibit: "Cuerpo Vítreo".
